When their granddaughter's were very young, the grandmother taught them the art of quilting. Members an orthodox Hindu family, the three sisters, Shila age 27, Madhu 24 and Kavita 21 work as a team and produce amazing, art laden kalamari and quilts. Following the traditional art as it was taught by their grandma, they create their own designs, and hand craft quilts, often called Jaipuri Razaai. The art requires traditional skills of cotton carding, cotton voile making followed by quilting. The three sisters often take turns performing various phases of project. Their goal is to make three to five quilts per week, on contract basis, earning over 100.00 dollars each per month.
